Mary Carrara-Hay
Mary Carrara-Hay has counseled people from all over Champaign county for more than 20 years. After graduating with her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois, Mary began her career at the Christian Counseling Center in 1996. In 2000, Mary founded Crossroads Counseling Services in Mahomet, IL.
Operating primarily via a referral system consisting of central Illinois doctors, pastors, and by word of mouth, Mary quickly earned a reputation for solving difficult to diagnose problems. She has become a go-to therapist for those seeking counseling for anxiety, eating disorders, or grief. To do so, she combines treatment methods such as cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychoanalysis. This allows her to identify both mental issues and any related physical health issues. Feeling better begins with proper treatment of the body and the mind, not one over the other.
